How to Get the Most Out of Your Spa Treatment

Everyone looks forward to spa treatments or a full spa day. Even our most seasoned professionals at Rejuvenation Clinic look forward to their opportunity to be on the receiving side of our relaxing, beautifying treatments. While we at Rejuvenation Clinic do all we can to make your service live up to your highest expectations, there are a few things you can do to get the most out of your spa treatment, as well.

Do your research.

Not all spas are equal in the level of service, expertise and atmosphere they provide. Feel free to check out our reviews online before giving us a call or booking an appointment. You should also research the treatment you book as well, and make sure you don’t do anything that could compromise the effectiveness of your service. For example, don’t cut your nails within a few days before a manicure, avoid the sun before a facial, don’t shave or exfoliate a few days before a body treatment, and don’t shave too close to the day of your wax.

Try to relax beforehand.

We know this may not always be possible, but arriving to the spa in a happy, calm state will make diving into deep relaxation mode during the treatment that much easier. At the very least, leave all stress, worries and racing thoughts at the door, and choose to simply be in the moment once your treatment begins.

Arrive early.

One practice that can help you avoid being stressed and frazzled right before your treatment is arriving early. Spending those few extra minutes in our lobby allows you to fill out paper work if any is necessary, sip spa water and focus on getting your mind into a Zen state before your treatment starts.

Think about your plans post-spa treatment.

For some treatments, such as a manicure or pedicure, your activity after you leave the spa won’t affect your treatment much. But if you’ve had a full spa day or gotten a facial, you may want to lay low for the remainder of the day, and avoid sunlight and makeup that could damage your fresh complexion. You’ll also want to avoid stressful activities that could undo the good from the relaxing treatment you’ve just enjoyed.

Stay hydrated after your spa treatment.

As you can see from our last blog, we firmly believe in the beauty and health benefits of being well hydrated. By drinking water pre- and post-treatment, you can significantly amplify your results.
